We are Ângelo and Mariana. Together, we are âm. And here we make art!
A couple of adventurers who really like to vary in the routine. Ângelo has been dedicated to the Multimedia for eight years and Mariana is the first Deaf medical doctor in Portugal. In parallel to the ÂMART project, we work in our company Signomy, creating photo and video content for some companies and we also produce accessible videos for the Deaf Community in Portuguese Sign Language.
In 2023, our team grew up and we have Simão de Abreu, a photographer and videographer, as part of us to bring to you more content and more quality.
In this space, we hope you get to know us a little better. There's nothing better than having a lemonade together for a chat!
TIE THE KNOT!
Art and love are two central elements in our life: we make photography and video in a documentary style. We record real moments and natural emotions, with a great sense of responsibility and all the affection in the world, as a way of expressing our vision of people in all the valences that life makes happen.
We always do our best to honor the memories of such a sacred day as when two people commit to being happy together. And what we love the most is being best friends with the bride and groom on their big day, recording their memories and also supporting them in simple things, such as retouching their hairstyle and reassuring them in moments of greater anxiety!

We've been making photography since the beginning of the ÂMART project and video was just a secondary element. More and more we realize the importance of also having moving memories. That is why we also invest in this seventh art to tell even better the stories we record.

Diogo & Sophie |IN THE HEART OF ALENTEJO
Diogo and Sophie live in Canada and had an intimate and very familiar wedding at Herdade da Malhadinha, which is a very beautiful venue in the heart of Alentejo. During the two days we were with them, we felt like part of the family.
MARA & JOÃO | A COZY WEDDING
After more than two years of preparations, the big day has finally arrived. It was a very peaceful and very fun wedding, as it could only be. Soon after, we made the 300 km journey to Lisbon Airport, exhausted, but happy to have been part of this day.
Joana & David| AN EMOTIVE DAY IN COIMBRA
Coimbra is the place for many love stories and many tears. It was no exception for David and Joana, who spent several handkerchiefs, but there were also many moments of joy and fun with family and friends.
João & Madalena|after the storm comes the calm
Madalena and João wanted a wedding outside, in the woods of Quinta do Hespanhol, but the rain forced a big change of plans. But, as the Portuguese saying goes, the calm always comes after the storm and that was the case on this day. We even had a beautiful sun for some photographs.
Ruth & Pecas | A Homemade Wedding
Ruth and Pecas got married in the woods of their house and had the party with their family and closest friends, on a beautiful late spring afternoon, with all the details made with love.
raquel & joão | AN iNTIMATE WEDDING
In the midst of a pandemic, Raquel and João opted for an intimate wedding, where only their sister and brother-in-law attended the ceremony. The rest of the day they spent alone in Serra da Lousã. They just had our company. We discreetly and respectfully recorded the moments when they vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. No matter what the wedding is like, the memories will always be special and unique.
tânia & david | FINALLY THE BIG DAY
Tânia and David started preparing their wedding two years before it happened, never imagining that the year 2020 would be so atypical. They really wanted it to be on a certain date and were almost ready to postpone it, but with patience, courage and perseverance, they managed to overcome all the difficulties and celebrate such a beautiful summer day with family and friends.
davina & bruno | LOVE IN VENICE
A few months after the big day, we ventured into Venice in two days to record moments of nostalgia with the wedding costumes. This city left us enchanted with its silence and beauty, despite having rained a lot. At the end of the afternoon, the sky opened and we were presented with some rays of sunshine.
miriam & gui | AN ADVENTURE IN GERÊS
About a year and a half later, again with our friends Miriam and Gui, we returned to Gerês, this time to its heart. It took a good walk to reach a place that reminds me of the meadows in the movie "Music in the Heart". We went up from Cascata do Arado, each one with their own material - we with our cameras and they with their wedding day attire. When we arrived, we found peace and light at the point; much more beauty than we imagined. Unlike the wedding day, time passed slowly there and we were able to explore a little more the essence of the relationship between Miriam and Gui, with more than a year of much sharing and experiences together. Once again, we limited ourselves to recording the moments and they did everything else, being themselves.
tânia & david | LOUSÃ IS ALWAYS SPECIAL
Serra da Lousã enraptures us whenever we visit it. This time with Tânia and David, it was no exception. It was even more special, because we witnessed the aura of pure love and romance that enveloped them, the result of a relationship of great companionship that has lasted for over twelve years. They are the perfect example of perseverance and that, with care, everything is done. Lousã is always special, but any place in the world is even more so with these two.
joana & artem | AN INTERNATIONAL LOVE
On a beautiful summer afternoon, a Portuguese woman married a Ukrainian man who lived in Milan. Their story has traveled around the world several times - they met in the Philippines, on a missionary trip, and experienced ups and downs during the early days of dating, until it came to the certainty that they should share a life together. The wedding day was spent at the Palácio da Lousã, with all its refinement and every detail made all the difference, with the help of friends.
marisol & pedro | A WEDDING IN A FARM
On that day, the house overflowed with good people who came from far away to celebrate Marisol and Pedro's wedding, a unique and breathtaking love. It was a very simple and rustic day, but very emotional, where the complements were in charge of the surrounding nature.
Because of these two, Freixo da Espada à Cinta stayed in our hearts.
misha & isabel | 11 hours STRAiGHT driving
A very special wedding - that of our friends who live in the country next door. We traveled more than a thousand kilometers to Sagunto, in Valencia, to experience first hand all the emotion of this day and fulfill their wish - that of being the ones to record their memories. We laughed and cried a lot too.
All a whirlwind! It was wonderful!
catarina & daniel | drave, THE MAGIC VILLAGE
Armed with a dress and suit, flowers, shoes, cameras, ready-made food, camping gas, hammocks, sleeping bags, bathing suits and anything else, we made the steep three-kilometre descent to Drave, better known as the village magic, which does not have any access by car. The idea was to sleep outside and create the desired images as soon as dawn broke, but we soon discovered that in that deep valley, time moves slowly - the sun began to peek over the mountain, it was past ten o'clock. Even so, we got up before seven o'clock and enjoyed the pink tones that dyed the sky and the birds waking up.

ANY QUESTION?
How do you photograph?
We are three people with different sensibilities that complement each other, each of us with our favorite lens. We work together, whenever possible, in the whole process that a photo report takes, from photographing to editing. We follow the line of the genuine and the spontaneous, recording the emotions, interactions and memories that arise in real life and transforming everything into a visual story that can be told as many times as you like.
Are your photos edited? And how many photos do you deliver?
All photographs are carefully chosen and edited by us, with the premise that all the good ones are delivered. They are seen and reviewed by both of us, putting Ângelo's creativity and Mariana's perfectionism into practice, until we are both satisfied with the final result. Now we also have Simão working with us. We, who want your story to have no limit on pages or chapters, normally deliver around 100 photographs for every hour of the re. But there are always exceptions to the rule.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DELIVER THE PHOTOS?
In reality, it depends a lot on the weather and the season. As a rule, we like sunny, warm and long days better, which means a greater volume of photos to be edited and more time to deliver them. For weddings or other full-day events, we take between two and six months.
How can we access the photos and share them?
All photographs are stored in an online gallery that will serve as a virtual album, with separation by pages and access by password of choice, whose link can be shared with people who wish to see your memories, only with your permission.
